KFC Flagship restaurant in Brisbane CBD. Fast food powerhouse trusts @MCRT.Studio to design two focal murals.

Mural by street artist @MCRT.Studio in KFC, Brisbane CBD

Greetings, fellow art enthusiasts and visionaries! Today, we delve into a unique project that not only adds flavour to fast food but also transforms the dining experience. @MCRT.Studio had the privilege of collaborating with Collins Foods, the steward of iconic brands like KFC and Taco Bell, to infuse artistic magic into their Brisbane CBD flagship store. Let's explore how art can reimagine a space and answer some of your burning questions about the power of creative installations.

Colonel Sanders Meets Brisbane: A Mural Masterpiece

At the heart of this project lies a striking mural. Colonel Sanders, the legendary face of KFC, takes centre stage on a brick wall inside the restaurant. But this is no ordinary portrait. We've merged the Colonel's likeness with two Brisbane icons—the Brisbane skyline and the iconic Story Bridge. This fusion symbolizes the Colonel's arrival in Brisbane, where culinary classics meets local heritage.

Although brick is a harder material to work with when it comes to installing a mural with acrylic paint, it was chosen as it created a warehouse urban vibe to the overall aesthetic. The brand colours of red, black and white are prominent in mural. The black and white portrait nods to the history and origins of KFC. What about the contrasting shadow? Well that’s a @MCRT.Studio twist, providing a contemporary, artistic and urban contribution to a commercial commission.

The Three-Tier Brisbane Spectacle

But we didn't stop at one mural. Picture this: a three-tier stadium seating, adorned with our signature collage-style renderings of iconic Brisbane landmarks. From the towering Story Bridge to the majestic Brisbane River, every tier is a visual treat that showcases our city's beauty. It's artistry that transcends walls and immerses diners in the heart of Brisbane's urban landscape.

A Journey Beyond Murals: Custom Art Prints

As a testament to the power of art in branding and customer engagement, we created custom art prints for the opening event. Attendees were able to receive a complimentary signed print courtesy of KFC and we were in attendance to speak to those who came through, unravelling the rich history of mural art in Brisbane and its unique connection to KFC. It's a conversation starter that showcases how art can elevate a brand's presence.

Art and Business: Your Questions Answered

You might be wondering, "How can art improve my business space?" The answer lies in the transformative impact on ambience and customer perception. The right art can turn a mundane space into an immersive experience.

"But how do I find the right mural artist for my business?" Start by seeking local talents who understand your brand's essence. They'll collaborate to bring your vision to life.

Artistry Unleashed: A New KFC Experience

This project with Collins Foods showcases that art isn't just for galleries; it's for businesses with a vision. The immersive experience created by murals and art installations elevates customer engagement and branding. As the saying goes, "Art is the spice of life," and in this case, it's also the spice of fast food.
