Space & Co.

Where Welcome to Bowen Hills once stood, Space & Co. has opened it’s doors to the public with a whole new brand identity and two bustling murals by us that captures what this change is all about. A whole new vision instigated by venue operator and musician Hannah Sands has taken this new direction to cater for Brisbane’s demand of experiential hospitality and support of the local visual art and live music community.

With a gallery space to support local Visual Artists and a performance area for musicians, @MCRT.Studio captures the excitement that this collaborative space will house with a mural named ‘On the other side’ that welcomes the patrons as they enter the venue. “Creative communication can be achieved through many forms, and in this artwork, Dance is emphasised. The title of this piece showcases a space to go to, to be happy and be on the other side of what life throws at us.”

Space & Co’s kitchen, formerly Harry’s Pizza will now be home to sought after cult feeds Zero Fox who will serve a Korean and Japanese street food menu known to forms lines outside their Tenerife establishment. With this in mind, @MCRT.Studio’s second mural celebrates Space & Co.’s collaborative approach to Brisbane’s success stories across food, music and art with a celebration of life and the joy that comes from getting together around good food.
