PARADISE

PARADISE was an opportunity to display the studio’s signwriting skills and merge a play with typography and art. It was our determination to create an artwork that told a story of our client’s journey as a married couple. It was a privilege to get to know this couple who have travelled and lived all over the world and has an appreciation of art clearly seen through the interiors of their New York loft-style home. The studio spent time with the couple, getting to know them whilst collecting memories they shared. This translated in the artwork through objects that held nostalgic references, collaged in amongst the word ‘PARADISE’- a beautiful reflection of the life they share together adventuring around the globe.

This artwork would serve as a ‘transportable mural’, if the occasion would arise, it would travel with them to their next home. The studio achieved this by sourcing weather-proof marine-grade plywood to paint on and then sealed. Once the artwork was completed, it would then be installed. With this process, it was a treat to complete this mural from the studio, rather than on-location.

One of our favourite colour palette to date and it was great to create such a personal narrative for the client. At the end of the day, that’s a beautiful side to art - creating visuals that touch the heart.
